Hot To Find Time To meditate

Hot To Find Time To meditate

Many people find meditation a really helpful process, whilst many others think of it as some thing they would really like to do, and will try and get round to it one day.
Both sets of people have one thing in common, which is that at some level they both consider time to be the crucial issue.
'I haven't got time for it' is probably one of the most used phrases by people who have a degree of interest in a subject or process, but for a number of reasons don't follow through on it. It's important to understand this.
People don't normally say 'I haven't got time' when it applies to a one off event, like a holiday or a wedding ( some really busy people do, but most don't! ).
People will use the phrase when it applies to something that involves a learning process, like learning a language or learning how to meditate.
Its important to understand that the issue of time itself is not normally the real issue.
For some people it can be, but for most there are other reasons why they will or won't learn some thing. Understanding, at a general level, your motives for what you do and don't do is hugely important in life and is a key to real freedom about

decisions you make or don't make.
Learning anything is a process, and there can be many reasons why people balk. Often it's around a fear of the unknown or a fear of commitment and sometimes it can simply be about that dreaded word 'commitment'.
At least if you have some idea of what you are or aren't doing, then you have something to work with and you are dealing with the real issue, which is normally not about time itself, but about motivation and reasons etc.
One useful tip, which you can apply to meditation, and anything really, is to make a decision to do or not do it as you are going to sleep. That means when you wake up the decision is already made, and all you do is implement it. Its your decision, and separating out the decision making process from the action itself, makes it much easier to take the action.
Good luck
