The Gain's of Letting Go
In the Personal Development world there is an expression or saying ‘"letting go". But what does it mean? What happens when and if we let go? What difference will it make if we do?
We are all prone to running programs. A program is something we create due to an incident or confrontations. Another word for it is behavioural pattern. Very often these behavioural patterns can be negative – that is to say they prevent us from feeling happy and fulfilled as an individual. So as long as we hold on to the negative programmes we are stopping ourselves from succeeding in life.
Examples of negative programs might be anger towards others, resentment, hurt or jealousy while these feelings may be very justified in our minds, what can often happen is that as long as we hold onto them, even subconsciously, we stop ourselves feeling happy, free and able to attract wealth and smooth running relationships in our lives. On top of this, this negative pattern running is left unattended, can manifest itself in illness, physical pain, conditions or disease.
So what can be do about these negative feelings? Well we have two basic choices. We can hold on to them and
just have to live with the consequences, or we can learn how to, then choose to let go of them – thus freeing ourselves of pain, negative feelings or worse – illness. Taking medicine or drugs may ease the pain temporarily but that's all it can do – ease it temporarily. If the drugs stop, the pain or condition causes us further discomfort and anxiety.
Now for the total cure!
By ‘letting go', the negative emotion we free ourselves completely of the situation. This is done very simply by assessing the feeling in the body and then consciously just allowing it to go. It is such a simple solution once we become aware and access the feeling. Accepting this can be challenging as the mind will always try to stop us doing it. You see the mind likes to control us and influence us. It does that by analysing, questioning and needing to understand everything thus holding us back.
So can you see that all that stands between us and feeling happy all the time is allowing ourselves to be aware of the feelings in any given moment and letting go of any attachment we may have to it. It's as simple as that and massively effective.
It is what nature has intended for us and we all know that working with nature is so much easier than resisting it.
